Frequently Asked Questions

General & Network

Flair Cargo currently provides domestic service between major Canadian hubs including Toronto (YYZ), Montreal (YUL), Vancouver (YVR), Calgary (YYC), and Halifax (YHZ).
Our network is rapidly expanding. If your desired route is not listed, please contact our Cargo Desk at flair@expaircargo.com or call 1-844-399-0022 to be notified if/when new stations become available.
Flair Cargo handles commercial shipments, unaccompanied goods and large-scale goods sent from warehouse to warehouse. Flair Airlines passenger baggage handles suitcases and personal items traveling with a passenger on the same flight.
No. For all inquiries regarding personal checked baggage or carry-on items, please contact Flair Airlines Passenger Support or manage your booking via the Flair Airlines website. The Cargo department cannot assist with passenger baggage if you have a flight booked for yourself.

Account & Booking Process

Yes. We accept shipments from non-account holders. However, payment will be required when you are dropping off your cargo at the warehouse of origin.
To set up an account, you can do so through "Apply for an Account". Our accounting team will process your request and contact you for the next steps.
You can manage everything right here! Skip the phone call and head over to our Shipping section. Whether you need to Book a Shipment or Request a Quote, our streamlined online forms ensure your request reaches our expert booking team instantly. It's the fastest, simplest way to get your cargo moving—anytime, anywhere. Or you can email flair@expaircargo.com or call 1-844-399-0022, making sure you have all required information to book/quote.
You can request a booking as soon as your shipment details are finalized.
As mandatory cut-off is 4 hours prior to flight departure, this will not be possible. Booking and shipment must be accepted by the warehouse before the cut-off in order to move on the flight.
You must provide the total piece count, weight, dimensions (L x W x H), commodity type, origin/destination, and the full contact details for both the shipper and the consignee (full name, address, postal code and phone number).
Every shipment requires an Air Waybill (AWB) which our booking team can generate once information is provided. Depending on the commodity, you may also need a Commercial Invoice, a Packing List, or specific certificates for perishables.

Commodities & Restrictions

We accept General Cargo (GEN) and Perishables (PER). Acceptance is always subject to aircraft capacity and safety regulations.
No. Flair is currently a "No-DG" carrier. We do not accept hazardous materials, chemicals, or lithium batteries.
We currently do not accept any live animals.
We accept a wide range of perishables (e.g., fresh produce, fish). All perishables must be in leak-proof, airline-approved packaging.

Technical Specifications

Because our aircraft are "Bulk Loaded," all cargo must fit through the bin door:
  • Max Height: 80 cm
  • Max Width: 120 cm
  • Max Weight per Piece: 125 kg

Operations: Tender & Pick-up

Cargo must be delivered to our designated warehouse at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure.
Yes. Unless explicitly told otherwise by the Flair Cargo Desk, you should follow the original tender time to ensure your cargo is processed and ready for the next available departure.
The person picking up the cargo (Consignee) must provide the 11-digit Air Waybill number and a valid government-issued photo ID that matches the name on the shipping documents.
Our warehouses offer limited storage. Free storage is typically available for the first 24–48 hours, after which daily storage fees will apply.

Pricing & Payments

Costs are calculated based on the "Chargeable Weight"—which is either the actual gross weight or the volumetric weight, whichever is greater. An approximate will be given at time of booking and confirmed once it is screened, weighed and measured by our cargo handler.
Yes. Standard fees include a Service and Handling Fee, a Security Screening fee, and an AWB fee. You can find the charges here.
Non-account holders must pay at time of drop off. Account holders are billed according to their established credit terms.
No. All Flair Cargo shipments must be Prepaid at the origin.

Post-Shipment & Claims

You can track your shipment in real-time on our website by entering your 11-digit Air Waybill (AWB) number on the Track a Shipment page.
All claims for damage or delay must be submitted in writing to [Claims Email TBD] within the timeframe specified in our Conditions of Carriage. Please include photos of the damage and a copy of the AWB.
